wheel covers: is there a long run maintenance difference?

[regarding the Stella 4t] ...

just out of curiosity, is there any benefit from having the standard disc over the star? I cant help but notice the Star leaves the wheel parts exposed to the elements a lot more. (course both are open on the other side anyway).
just curious if any current 2t stella owners had any problems with the front wheel area just from wear and tear or if the brakes get too wet they screach or something wierd?

I don't own a stella (Yet) and I am just bored today, answer if you like.

Oh I'll be fine with the star shaped front wheel since attaching a ridiculous accessory in order to replicate the former style would be a heinous act of shoving perfectly fine money down Scooterworks throat.

I might just powdercoat my rims to match the body and then paint the star black.
