It is official I am going big bore!

Post by Mr Miller »

Well I dropped off my black jack yesterday at the BikeBarn in Medford to have my big bore installed. Won't get it back till next Saturday, I already miss him:(.
So I am going with the 171.3 bigbore kit from NCY with their 61mm big valve head, with probably a 105 jet (they'll figure that part out to me)

I will keep you updated

Does NCY make a 171cc kit? I thought there was only 163cc.

Its 161cc, and yeah they make both a 171cc for the 150's and a 177cc jug thats for the 60mm stroker crank to come up to 183cc.

EDIT: Ohh, and congrats Mr Miller, leme know if you want to do a write up for Voodoo Buddy ;)

Yeah no more wheelies just not worth it  They are going to look at and fix the little bit of damage that it has.

Kaos, once I get it broke in again I should bring it up to Ptown and let you test it for voodoo buddy :D

Sounds like fun!
With all that capacity – wheelies will just happen.

That would be awesome :) I'm curious how it performs vs the 161, because the 161 still has a longer stroke than the 171. We could go down to Portland International Raceway on drag night and do a head-to-head :P

No I don't think so, I went with the 171.3 so that I wouldn't need to do any machining. No local dealers around so didn't want to risk breKing anything:)
