I absoluely love what some folks do with the Ruckus. I'd get one but with the limited space I just can't justify it. My wife has one but she wants to keep it basically stock although shes warming up to the idea of at least adding a front disc brake. I'm sure once she starts customizing I may get to help her play with it a bit _________________ "Only the curious have, if they live, a tale worth telling at all" Alastair Reid

The "belly" looks very close to the ground? How does that work with speed bumps?

Its on full air ride, just like low riders. They raise up once they hit the road. I priced the kit at a little over $2500 usd.

knowing that some of the Ruckus builds I've seen from Japan go for around 25k, I wonder what one of these bigger scooters with the air shocks and all would cost? Probably way more than I would have/want to put into any vehicle without 1st aquiring a garage _________________ "Only the curious have, if they live, a tale worth telling at all" Alastair Reid

I have to say, if this scooter were black and red it'd be the devils scooter. Looks just like a billy goat. One of the cooler customs I've seen in awhile, really unique. _________________ "Only the curious have, if they live, a tale worth telling at all" Alastair Reid

Ok, that's just cool; I would love to get a closer look, but I have this darn Akira so I should stay away for now.
Actually the people that are doing the Akira live action remake should track this guy down for pointers on how to make Kaneda's bike. _________________ Life is too short to drink bad coffee.

If by horrible you mean the type of unique awesomeness that could only be created by the same culture that gave us the catbus _________________ "Only the curious have, if they live, a tale worth telling at all" Alastair Reid

Long before the catbus, there was the hippopautomobile, courtesy of my distant cousin a few times removed. Gustave VerBeek was the son of a Dutch missionary, born in (you guessed it) Japan. This is one of many bizarre creatures which appeared in his strip "Terrors of the Tiny Tads", about a century ago.
