Scooterworks Drag Race Series

Post by NASRA »

Get ready to race!

The Scooterworks Drag Race Series is in full effect. We will be hitting the track the third Sunday of each month to fulfill our need for speed starting June 20th 2010.

One of the reasons we chose a bracket race series is that just about anyone can put a dead man switch on their scoot, drive down to the track, and have a great time for just a few bucks. For the die hard speed junkies we are also holding a heads up “King of the Hill” winner take all exhibition race as well.

Who: Scooterworks Drag Race Series is hosted by NASRA and the Brown County Dragway.

What: Bracket and heads up scooter racing points series.

When: June 20th, July 18th, Aug 15th, Sept 19th, Oct 17th.
Gates open at 9am, Dial-in starts at 11am, Racing starts at 2pm.

Where: The Brown County Dragway
480 Gatesville Rd. Nashville, Indiana.

How Much? $15 for the first class, $10 for the second.

NASRA membership required to compete in the bracket race series.

This event is held with the support of Scooterworks USA, NASRA, and The Brown County Dragway. Without them this event wouldn’t be possible and we look forward to having a great season. Riders and spectators please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Racers of all skill levels, and all makes of scooters welcome.

Be safe, ride fast, and have fun,
Jeremy Hall

Drag Racing and Track Riding with the NASRA

Post by BoneGirl »

Me and Ben have been participating in a new venue of scootering for us: Drag Racing and Track Riding. To my amazement, this puts a whole new light on scootering and we're loving it. I am sure it's not for everyone, especially the Track Riding/Racing, but I find it totally a blast. Yesterday I competed in my first Drag Race and won 1st Place so now I know I'm addicted to the sport.

Just checked, its about a 6 hour drive. No way I could justify those kind of miles on my car on a regular vasis plus I'd have to rent a uhaul trailer to get the Buddy there. We have a the Milan Dragway in Milan Michigan which is only about 20 minutes away but I've never heard of any scooter racing around here.
