events and patches

Post by Diana Cook »

This is my first note on this site......can't find ANY scoot events in my area.....when I look at the list on this site, cannot tell where most of them are taking place.....what going on in Seattle or at least Washington?

Also nice to see patches.....but I want to know where to GET cool patches.....seems nobody has any available...?

Thanks

Welcome to MB! From what I know there is a huge scooter scene in Seattle. I'm sure area members will chime in here in no time. As for patches... you have to go to the rallies to get them!

you can start with the Modern Buddy patch and the SPAZ patches when they become available. They are really cool.

Welcome to MB.

I think one of the members here, Dakotamouse I believe, was selling a very nice patch as well as a button. I'm not sure if that's till the case, but you might want to do a search and look for that thread.

Thanks for the nice comments, Rob. Yes, I am still selling pins and patches.

Welcome! One tip is to put your location in your profile (via the 'profile' link around the top right of every page). You can see that many of us have our location listed and it shows up under our username in every post. That will help you get a feel for which members are where. Then when you see some locals talking about an event you can jump in!

Great patch gallery here, just to make you jealous:

But yeah, you gotta earn your patches! Go to rallies, join clubs, meet people, etc. We're like boy/girl scouts, only with less booze (I was in a rough troop.)

That said, you can buy generic patches at most scooter shops and mail order shops, but you don't want to show up at your first rally with a bunch of generic patches. That's trying too hard!

You're here, so you NEED a Modern Buddy patch!

So many options up that way... I'm jealous. Have fun.
