Blur seat alteration (pictures)

Post by sqwalker »

I bought the Blur a few months ago. I'm having a blast with it, except I noticed right away that the Blur's seat wasn't going to work for me. Because of my long legs (I'm 6 "3"), I needed to sit further back to feel comfortable on it - right in the middle of the hump. So I immediately took the seat to a vehicle Upholstery shop and for $30 had it removed. I also had them add another layer of foam padding as well.

Anybody who finds the seat uncomfortable or wants to sit further back on their Blur, I highly recommend doing this. My butt thanks me everyday. :)

That seat does look nice and comfy. How much did they charge for the added padding and the new covering?

Looks to me like the original cover was restretched in place. Nice work.

Total cost was only $30 (including additional foam). Yes, I was surprised it was so inexpensive to have it done. I'm sure it took them less than an hour to finish it.

You're right, they used the original seat cover and just re-stretched it.

Where is this shop?!! That's an amazing price! I once asked a local NJ upholstery shop to modify my MC's seat, and they wanted $!00!!
