It's like a big blanket that attaches to your scoot. It covers your legs for cold-weather riding. Here's a thread about them over at Urbanscootin.

You might also want to check out Scooter Skirts http://www.scooterskirts.com/
Doesn't attach to the scooter. So can be used with all makes and models.

You don't take it off. Once installed for the season you either leave it to protect your seat as in the photo above, or it rolls up and is tied out of the way around the edges of the leg shield.ryder1 wrote:Looks like it would be warm and keep the wind off, but how long do you freeze taking if off?

Termoscud R151
I got a termoscud for my buddy 125 last year. It is fantastic, I rode everyday except for ice storm days.
I had a hard time figuring out the size. My local dealer didn't have much experience with them. So, I called a dealer in Cincinatti, I think.; they had an extensive website. they basically gave me the closest vespa model to the buddy. From there I selected a size from the tuscana website. I ended up getting the R151.
Now, mind you, I've only tried this one size. But it works.
Hope this helps.

Dealer etc
If I remember right, when I did the whole price comparison thing it was actually cheaper to pay the crazy shipping and order from Europe. I also had hopes that I would find a like minded person who wanted order one as well and share the shipping.
I can't remember the Cincinatti dealer, they didn't sell them. He just gave me the vespa model most similar in size.
I'm not ignoring your request for pics. (I am on the whole skirts and heel thread.) While we have about 8 "film" cameras, we don't own a single digital camera. Also, I haven't even thought about putting it on yet. I started looking into it around November last year.
If I can borrow a digital camera, I'll try to get a picture up.

I remember lylee talking about this here: viewtopic.php?t=1001sparkle motion wrote:So I'm confused... can we purchase these from the Termoscuds from the Tucano Urbano website? I don't see any 'add to cart' option or pricing, but I'd really like to purchase one.
Lylee, how did you order yours?
Thanks,
April

Just an FYI: it's spelled "Cincinnati".

I just placed an order earlier this week as well with a bunch of other tucano urbano stuff and they were ultra helpful with making sure that I had purchased the correct size jacket and hand muffs. I would highly recommend ordering from them. I got a quote of $140 for the termoscud locally from a vespa store and it would still be cheaper to order from Italy with the heafty shipping charge and the bad exchange rate.

I couldn't get your link to connect.
If this link connects, is there where you ordered from?
http://www.tucanourbano.it/main/home.aspx
Someone mentioned ordering from Great Britain; but you ordered from Italy?

Here are some pics. It's supposed to rain tonight so I didn't spend too much time putting it up, probably about 10 minutes. Not entirely sure if I did everything correctly. thoughts?
I sit inside for a little bit and it felt cramped. I wonder what would happen if I crash my scoot with it installed.... it could be dangerous.

My early christmas came with a couple of issues, the jacket I ended ordering was too big (I had the right size before talking to the helpful people at wheelup.it, of course it was not their fault), and the handle bar covers need alterations (R317 can work with the turn signals with some sewing adjustment).mlee10018 wrote:I treated myself to an early christmas and got the termoscud, dispari jacket, handle bar covers, rain overboots, and a calf length rain jacket. All tucano urbano. It all came out to less than if I had bought the termoscud and jacket in the US. Of course none of it is really available here.
For anyone ordering a TU jacket, Small is for chest measurement 36"-37", Medium for 38"-39", and Large for 40"-41". Sound pretty standard right!!! I was told to order a size up like my alpinestars airflo jacket. And as far as handle bar covers, try another model...
I have put the jacket up for sale:

crashing and cramping
Sorry to be gone during your ordering process. Sometimes works just rules my life. For what it is worth:
I have crashed (little) in the termoscud, though not because of it. I maintained that I crashed because of the crazy Oklahoma drivers who don't signal, follow right of way rules, and drive old trucks with broken tail lights. It is also possible that it was the rain, my lack of sleep, and a decade since my MSF course. I was also wearing heels and a skirt.
I layed down the scoot instead of crashing into the stupid truck. I ended up with a slightly wet skirt, a little scrape on my elbow, and a scrape on my ankle. Nothing on the leg. I think the termoscud was a bit protective there. I used it everyday for three or four months. That's my one and only scooter accident in over a year, except for the extreme dorkiness last week. On that occasion the scooter was not even on, so I don't think it counts.
It loosens up some. I never roll mine up, so maybe yours will loosen up sooner.
PS Really, who cares about spelling? The Constitution doesn't have consistent speeling and yet we all understand the basic meaning. Did you really not know that I meant the city in OH? Are we even aware that it's a non english/indo-european name that has been tranliterated into the latin alphabet. So really.
