I found this on the PGO website. I am almost positive this is the same engine that is in the Buddy 125. It is at least interesting, if not helpful.

They recommend 92 octane fuel, but I have been using 87. Any combustion experts out there know if that can make a difference as long as you don't have engine knock?

No need for premium fuel @ 9.2-9.6 compression ratio unless your engine 'knocks' (predetonation) then you are fine on regular. Premium gas is not a cleaner gas in actuality; it only resists detonation under higher temps and compression than the mid-regular gasoline. No worries..........if you are 'pinging' or 'knocking' step it up a grade, but I seriously doubt that you would at these engine specs.
