scooter stolen - Atlanta

Post by black sunshine »

last night on the way home, my scooter broke down on me and wouldn't start. came back this morning to get it and it was GONE. so be on the lookout. black Genuine Buddy scooter with speakers built into the side and a white "P!" sticker on the front, speakers mounted on the mirrors. i'm REALLY hoping the police just moved it. it was locked up with a Xena 120db alarm, so whoever moved it would have been dealing with that too . . .

For a nation that has a lot of snooty people who look down on scooters, we sure do have a lot of thefts of them... Sucks! sorry dude...You'd think people wouldn't bother!

 Stupid, dumb *u*k thieves.
Unfortunately you probably need to be looking for a scoot with HOLES where the speakers used to be.

That's rotten news, man.

I'll keep an eye out but hopefully Johnny Law got to it before the lowlifes...

That f'n sucks. I hope it's just the police picking it up to prevent anyone else from doing so.

Man, that sucks. Is there any remote chance that since it wasn't working it maybe was towed rather than stolen? Maybe check the tow yards? (Just grasping at straws here...)

Keep your eye on Craig's list.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery with minimal damage, or that your insurance will cover it for you.

update (cut and pasted from my Facebook post):

thanks to the AMAZING detective work of Matt Martin, i found my scoot today! it was over at an apartment building on North and Parkway. the vile bastards had chopped it the hell up, put some #!$!@'d up pipe on it, cut off the front fender, took off the front wheel (i assume because they couldn't get the Xena lock off) and put on a smaller one . . . just sad :-( it wasn't worth doing anything but taking the insurance money and calling it a loss, but the justice of having those douchecanoes NOT having it anymore was worth it. super big thanks and hugs to Cathy Rouse and Robin Henson for coming out for moral support (and possible towing services!), i love you guys!!!!!

Glad your scooter was found. Creeps!

For some reason, I can't see your pictures...just a couple of small "X"s appear on the page for me to click on....but nothing happens when I click on them.
