My Christmas Wish...
It's for some company to go retro and "upgrade" a 64' Lambretta Sx/(or)Tv200. I mean if LML can do it with the Stella, why not do a Lammy? (plus I just love the cowls on the TV 200).... or am I California dreaming?

Isn't the question with Lambretta "which Lambretta"?
It seems that several companies around the world feel they each own the rights to the Lambretta name, while every other claimant to the name fights the others tooth and nail for the right to be known as the one, true Lammy.

I suppose so...I did get some pretty potent pink parts on my white Buddy after the accident. Now she's truly one-of-a-kind. Still, wish for some deep, dark, sparkly purple if Santa is listening.

Unless SIL (Scooters India Limited) saw a good reason to start stamping out Lambrettas again, it won't happen. They quit building bikes in '98.
I would keep an eye on the non-Aldy-POS machines that are finally showing up in Europe:

http://www.lambretta.co.uk/new_ln/index.html
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lambretta-LN125-/200647981240
Currently, this is your best bet for getting modern convenience in a shape that could be recognized as a Lambretta.

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

It's a steel body and a SYM engine. Could be worse (like the trash that Khurana was slapping a badge on).

Well, they're absurdly expensive. But since a Vespa MASTER or QUASAR can be crammed into a Lammy frame, find a great mechanic and a couple scooters and go for it.

The Rabbit is the boy's scoot. And since it won 'best scooter' at Rice-o-Rama, the price went up a grandSyd wrote:Where would you put them all? Or, would you sell me a Rabbit?siobhan wrote:Huh? No 'push it like you stole it'? They actually run?ericalm wrote:Here you go:

Seriously, if you had to choose, you'd 'settle for walking' over taking the Rabbit.

Syd, your timing is surprisingly good. I've been getting some crap about unloading the Riva after the lugnut incident and after a three-month downtime on it while tracking down some hard to find parts. I'm reluctant to do so. However, I have a second one that's mechanically solid but not nearly as pretty looking. Let me know if you're interested.Syd wrote:Well, if the Rainbow Unicorn isn't coming within the next year, I need to get something. Since siobhan says the Rabbit isn't it, how about your Riva 200 az_slynch?
