How did you get the lighting effect on the front?
Amy, there are two led pods above the front chrome fender, but under the fender are two 12 inch led strips that wrap around with it, lighting up the wheel

My Scooters

Post by oIo_CHASE_oIo »

I bought my first scooter in 07 from Scootersmith (727 Yale 77007) in Houston. It started out black and silver… but after a few "learning opportunities" I decided to paint it Satin black and red. I also got the blackjack seat for it. I turned my dead lights into running lights. Afterwards I added a 100w stereo system with an on/off switch. Then I added an alarm system with a 2-way pager. I have changed all my turn signals to red LEDs to match the new paint and seat. I have the black rear rack and cowl protector (minus passenger pegs). I am working on getting undercarriage lights for it now. There's not much more I can think of to do for my scooter… so I went back to Scootersmith for yet another scooter. This time I got my hands on a Buddy 150cc St.Tropez. Wanting this one to look seamless, I installed all the same parts I had on my black and red buddy, only this time with all chrome bars and just a seat Cover instead of a new seat. Also used blue LED turn signals Instead of red like i did on the other scoot. i turned my dead lights back into turn signals. i installed a front fender guard and put headlights on it, which i connected also to my horn so if my lights are off, they light up when I hit my horn...Here are some pics. Any thoughts on what I should do next?

Aside from possibly wiring up the deadlights, I just added the finishing touches to my wife's Tangerine 50... cowl bars and rear rack in black with Genuine top case.

Congrats on your "new" scoot! Was just up in your neck of the woods at a wine festival. Beautiful riding along route 5 this time of year with that heady smell of grapes all around! :) Enjoy and ride safe!

Well, Serenity has switched owners from AWinn6889 to myself, undergone a facelift, and still has a little bit more detailing and a top case to go. Here now is the first picture of Idris. 8)

Very nice. I saw on MV that you had purchased a Buddy and wondered if it was from AWinn.

Thanks! It's actually just one shade. :) Kind of weird ambient lighting. It's also got a satin finish, so the light plays on it differently than you'd expect.

My buddy

Post by Seven0101 »

Hello all,
I am a newbie here. Just got my scooter 2 weeks ago.

I was a Team Petronas fan when they raced in Superbike... So I bought a foam green buddy and my husband added the race stickers and carbon fiber wrap. Now I have my own Petronas FP1... That only goes 43mph. :D

Yikes! I just looked up the synopsis of the movie. Not my cuppa tea. (And my husband's name is Bill, so the title doesn't have a good ring to me...)

But congrats on your new Buddy -- they really are a blast to ride. :D

New 2014 Brit 'TARDIS'

Post by MYSCTR »

So the little red 125 with the extras was returned to factory spec and sold and here is the replacement. Added black out kit, Prima pipe and most of the TARDIS vinyl she wanted.

Big thanks to Witch for her inspiration, ideas & help in creating this. Our little girl is so proud to own this!

Tends to get places a lot quicker, I'm just sayin'. Just a teaser picture…

(Still missing a few last details)

It's an LED running light, too. To be honest, I don't know that it turns very much, because I can't see it when I'm riding, but the humour follows me wherever I go.
