I'd run one. looks interesting enough.
The name is bad for Honda, but not as bad as the Flush, the Squash or the Zook.

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Re: Metropolitan
I would guess not. The styling of the Metro is a big part of its appeal to people who want something that looks like a traditional scooter (but don't care if it operates like one).mattgordon wrote:Replacement for the Metro?

Re: Metropolitan
Having 3 50cc scooters in an already short scooter line-up seems impractical. I doubt its going to unseat the Ruckus....TVB wrote:I would guess not. Add a white stripe, get a skunk...
Run it on alcohol, get a, well you can figure that out.
Actually very clean modern styling. Will appeal to a wide range of buyers. Nice job Honda!
Oh, can we have special artsy paint jobs? Call it the Funk. Okay, I'm done now.

Too boxy looking, and the seat doesn't look comfortable at all. Did like the cut-away of the engine internals, don't get to see them in pristine condition like that very often.

Actually the current Honda Metropolitan is air-cooled. Honda made that switch a year or two ago when they dropped the Met's price and moved production to Shanghai.ohiotj wrote:Interesting they mention that liquid cooling is a new thing for scooters this small. The Met and the Ruckus have always been liquid cooled, iirc. The last air-cooled 50cc scoot Honda would have sold in the US was the Elite, back in 2001.

I was thinking the same thing. Somebody once pointed out to me the tiny little radiator on the Ruckus.ohiotj wrote:Interesting they mention that liquid cooling is a new thing for scooters this small. Kinda surprised at the negative comments about the style. I thought it looked pretty clean and generally pleasing to the eye. Both conventional and modern at the same time, quite unlike some of Honda's past attempts at "modern."
Too small for my combination of personal bulk and rural location but otherwise looks good.

The '76 CB125S I owned had it; self-adjusting, too. Maybe they're better now, but didn't inspire much confidence on my part. Aways felt kinda mushy.Robbie wrote:It has a cable operated caliper.....Honda has used them before but I cannot remember ever seeing one on a US spec. bike.BeefSupreme wrote:The brake/turn signal cluster looks interesting. That's a disc brake up front... where's the reservoir?
