Help

Post by thbass »

My wife and i own Stella 2T with sidecars. We recently upgrade the top end witht the Malossi 166 and the Prima pipes. Since then they have not run right. I took mine in to get "professionally" tined but its still not acting right. Basically you put it in gear and it acts as if it is flooding or bogged down and then the takes off. Same thing in 2nd gear, however in third it never really gets to the point where it takes off it just runs in that bogged down feel. I tried adjusting the timing but that did not help.
Anyone?

My guess is that the carbs need to be rejetted. Who did this "professional" tuning for you? Did they change the jets? Did they talk to you about possibly changing the jets?

What carbs are you running and what jets? Was porting done to the jug to get the most out of the kit? Were the ports chamfered? What is the timing set at? The malossi kit is not the best down low and generally loves high revs.
