I think its pretty awesome. I have some VW Squareback fenders I have been itching to make into a chair.

You cant save them all ;-)

I wonder if they really are chopping up scoots? You can buy legshield/floorboard repair assemblies new from various companies, so I wonder if they are just using those? Hopefully.

I'm going to guess that it's a "made from fresh parts" scenario. The horn cast is the older P-series and the blinker-less legshields were '77 only, I think. Besides, it'd be much easier to buy stampings to build the chair on than it would be to chop the back off and grind off the center tunnel.
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Seven mopeds ...that's still manageable...
