Stella 4T Carb Hoses

Post by jkblaq »

My 2012 Stella came pre-emission parts removed. I was cleaning the carb and noticed two loose hoses and was wondering where they go.

The first runs from the top of the carb second from the bottom. My guess is the bottom is the overflow. But what about the top one? Does it need plugged or left open?

Thanks.

One is the carb overflow, the other is the carb bowl drain.

Thanks, so I can just leave them both open?

Nevermind, now that I re-read your post overflow and drain so both should be left as is. Thanks again.

Well, the hose for the carb bowl drain is only used when you remove the carb (you actually can't reach the drain screw while it's on the scooter) and need to drain the bowl to disassemble it. But it's best to leave it on so you don't misplace it.

Yet I still manage to spill gas when I pull mine.
