replacing the ignition cylinder 2012 Stella 4t

Post by sippin.fnordies »

I went to ride my scooter the other day and found that some a**hole had hammered a screwdriver into my ignition switch in an attempt to steal my scooter. They had also tried to forcefully break the steering lock. Luckily they failed miserably on both attempts.
Now I'm trying to replace the mangled ignition switch, but I can seem to figure out how to get it out.
I have removed the horn cover and taken the electronic bits out, but the key cylinder and steering lock are still there and don't seem to want to go anywhere.
I scanned through the service manual and found no info on this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try looking on Modern Vespa: Not So Modern, Scooter Central, or LML Owners Club Great Britain. The Stella uses the same ignition and steering lock setup as the PX.
