2005 PX150 Filter/Jetting Question

Post by mcvetyty »

Hello -

I've completely confused myself by reading so many threads, so I am hoping someone can offer some quick advice.

I have a stock 2005 PX150 Stella with sidecar. The only mod I want to make right now is to de-blue the filter. Here are my questions:

1) The current filter is looking rough, so I was going to replace it altogether rather than just deblue. Can someone confirm that this filter will work in my stock Stella? My understanding is this is basically just a de-blued filter that should work, but I am wondering if there are other adjustments I need to make (other than upjetting) to get this to fit/work?

2) My understanding is that I also need to upjet in order to use this filter. From what I've discovered, the current main jet in my Stella is a 94, but that seems really low. I thought stock was 98? If 94 is right, then what would you recommend if I go with the above filter?

Thanks so much!

Hello - is anyone able to confirm whether this filter is basically the equivalent of drilling and debluing a stock air filter in a Stella 2005 2T? Or is the sizing different?

Thanks!

I think it'll fit, but the one you want is probably this one:

SIP has it as well, but it'll cost you more.
