The forum admin has been extremely busy with his job. Illnoise and I are here minding the store as moderators. You are welcome to contact me by clicking the icon at the bottom of this message. Click the PM icon to send me a Private Message or the email icon to send me an email. Either way, I'll be happy to address your concerns as best I can.

Did it get killed, or can i just not find its new home?
Please settle down, guys. The intentional provocations, whether jokes or not, are starting to get on people's nerves—we're getting reports.
We'd hate to have to put the hammer down and begin to more strictly enforce the guidelines. So far, the MB crowd has been fairly well-behaved and has done a good job of keeping each other in line. But when new members come in and see a bunch of juvenile comments and jokes, it's pretty off-putting and will drive some people away.
So I'm asking nicely. Cool it, please.

I apologize. Being new, I got carried away with the mob mentality. Please accept my peace offering:

I can see where this is going, so here's a preemptive warning:

Never Gonna Give You Up" 's campy music video became the basis for an Internet phenomenon known as "rickrolling". It originated on 4chan and took its name from an earlier phenomenon known as "duckrolling", in which someone would post a blind link to a page allegedly relevant to a discussion that upon viewing would prove to be a non sequitur - specifically, an image of a duck on wheels. Similarly, in a rickroll a poster provides a link they claim is relevant to the topic at hand which actually takes anyone who clicks it to the Rick Astley video.

New one on me too. But scullyfu, you totally missed your chance to post a Rick Astley vid in place of the wikipedia link.

Maybe this is Saint Tropez?
http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=2378
Maybe not though, I'm not so much of an expert in theological trivia.
There was a sighting of the virgin Mary in S-T in 1954

I'm guessing it's a corruption of another name. I read this on "Provence Beyond," and it sort of jives with some other bits and pieces I came across.illnoise wrote:Maybe this is Saint Tropez?
Name:
Saint-Tropez was the antique Athenopolis, or Heraclea Caccabaris, the name used again by the Thermidoriens in 1793. In "modern" times, the town was listed as Ecclesia Sancti Torpetis in 1055, named after one of Nero's centurions who was beheaded in Pisa for the sake of his religion. Torpès' body and his head, along with a dog and a cock, was placed in a boat and set adrift. The dog and cock were intended to devour the man's remains, but he was still intact, so to speak, when the boat came ashore where the town of St Tropez stands today. The current name of Saint Tropez came after the Revolution.
And now it's also a smart-looking 150cc scooter. I'm sure Nero's unfortunate centurion had no idea.

Sorry to have offended such tender sensibilities.

"Tender sensibilities?"
I'm straight as an arrow and as crass as they come and I found your approach irritating.
I'll hazard a guess, Brian, that you got exactly the response you were hoping for.
It really never would have occurred to you that there might actually be gays and lesbians on this site who would find your topic title infuriating?
Kudos to the moderators for pulling the thread.
I hope if you give it a thought or two you might see that there could have been a better approach to discuss your disdain for the colour scheme.

Oh, it totally is. They're not into this kinda thing there. We're not into it here. I hate to say it, but the BBS is prolly your go-to place for finding an audience for that stuff.StL_Stadtroller wrote:I guess it's even more of a nanny-state here than ModernVespa.
Behave or take a time out. Seriously.
