Electric Start Tries But Won't Turn Over

Post by cocoribe »

Hey Folks,
I just bought an '05 (or '04, I'm not sure) Stella. The electric start worked for a few days then, on the first cold morning, crapped out. Now when I push the button it makes the sound like its trying but the engine won't turn over. All the other electrics are working fine. The kick started works fine (ish). Any suggestions?

More than likely it is a bad battery.

Cold batteries don't like to help the starter turn over. Get a battery tender.

It's been to know for the starter to just sort out. Some of my friends do not even bother replacing them, preferring to just kick start.
