Tachometer issue solved

Post by chickdr »

In case anyone else has this happen to them, I was out and about a couple of days ago and the tach needle suddenly settled at 3pm(well below the 0 rpm mark). From that point it was working, but staying about 2K below what it should be(idle was reading 0rpms). I contacted my dealer who told me the cluster would cost $210 plus $40 to install(nothing serviceable inside). I decided to disconnect the battery for 10 min and see what happened. This reset the tach and all is well now.
