Buddy 50 Squeaking Brakes

Post by ScourTheEarth »

I own a 2015 Buddy 50.

Around mile 300 I took the Buddy into the shop because my rear (drum?) brake was slightly "pulsing" when I would come to a stop (clearly it was slightly warped) and was squeaking in sync with the pulses when braking hard. The shop said it would wear off when it gets used more.

The buddy and I recently crossed over 1000 miles and not only does my rear brake pulse and squeak but now my front disc brake also squeaks occasionally, too.

Question: Is this a "warranty"-covered item? Aside from paying for my own fix and replace, what are my options here?

Would love to hear the forum's thoughts.
Thank you,

Squeaky brakes are relatively normal for motorcycles and scooters. The brakes are based on performance designs and have the tendency to make some noise.

If the pads get glazed over, typically a good hard squeeze on the front brake while going fast clears it up.
