Transmission problem

Post by Terescenko »

Hello everyone...
On the way to work today, heard a funny noise at a light. Tranny started making funny noises I figured it was belt slap...went to take off, an the scooter completely bogged out and wouldn't go anywhere. Once I got home, I took the scooter CVT cover off and noticed the belt was loose. Removed variator an clutch...removed clutch nut and it seemed that the pulley was
Stuck in a high gear ratio? I put in a NCY tranny kit 2,200 miles ago and haven't had an issue till now. Looks like there's a pin on the torque driver that is not allowing the plates to open and close? any help
Would be appreciated.
Thanks

Solution

Thank you...definitely helped out. The part that goes over the torque driver (that seats the contra Spring) had a hole drilled in it? One of the pins in the torque driver popped out and got Jammed into that hole causing it to lock out at a high rpm...makes sense now. Thanks for the video
