Buddy Kick cowl protectors install help

Post by cyclewhitman »

Does anyone know how to install cowl protectors on a Buddy Kick? I just bought some but they did not come with instructions, and I can't find anything online.

Thanks!

No idea, but I am impressed you even found a set custom made for the Kick.

My genuine dealer installed them for me before I picked mine up. Aren't there just holes that line up? Assuming you're talking about these

Can you post a picture of yours so I can see what it should like like? I might be able to figure it out from the pic of your install.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to insert actual images, but here are a bunch of pics I just took. Sorry it took a couple days, SEPTA is on strike so I'm commuting 2.5 miles each way by foot (my girlfriend needs the scooter day to day more than I do).

Thank you! I also finally spoke to someone at scooter works Chicago and they took pics of a kick they have there with the cowl protectors installed. Turns out installing them was easier than I expected. Mine are on and look great.

Sweet. How do you like the kick? I haven't ridden other scooters, so I can't compare it to others, but I love it. Just got it back from its 500 mile break-in service today.
Also, the cowls WILL protect the rear end in case of a little spill, so take solace in that. Ours tested that theory a week ago when someone pulled a Philly Rolling Stop

I love this scooter. I had a 50cc and then a 125cc Buddy. The Kick is definitely my favorite. Quiet, fast, comfortable, and adorable. People are always commenting on it. I ride it all of the time and prefer to scoot vs drive my car when the weather permits.

Glad the cowl protectors work though sorry you had first hand experience of them working. I hope all is ok.

Yeah, my girlfriend just mashed her foot a bit, had some internal bruising that took her out of commission for a few days, but the x-rays were fine. She's all good now. There's a bit of scratching on the front left "shield", but other than that, the scoot is fine.

And yes, these things are awesome. Spotted the white Kick again last night outside the bar I was walking to. The dealer just got in another blue one and I believe still has an orange one, so our reign as "those people, with the orange scooter" is coming to an end.

I've spent probably an hour, cumulative, talking to people about it in the gym parking lot trying to leave (All nasty post-workout). Of course, I always refer them to my local Genuine dealer. More scoots on the road benefits everybody, and makes the world just a little bit happier of a place.
