2014 Buddy 170i acceleration issue

Post by raginmama »

I have a 2014 Buddy 170i with about 1400 miles on it. Recently, when I accelerate from a dead stop, the acceleration stutters like there is air in the line or a blockage or some sort. Is this just a fuel filter issue? Or is there anything else I should check? Thanks.

First thing I would check is your clutch.

Second thing I would check is your variator.

Somewhere in between, I would check your belt.

Poor acceleration

It could be as simple as a bad tank of gasoline, especially if it's been sitting a while and you don't fill up the tank every couple of weeks. I would think it is ready for a valve adjustment. Never heard of CVT problems at that low mileage. Hope you sort it out,
50 motorcycles and scooters from age 16 to 67. Loved every one but always had to sell one to buy the next, damn shame of economics. After spine surgery it's been all scooters. The light weight and CVT transmissions will let me ride as long as I breathe
