The strangest thing EVER on a buddy 50

Post by Monkeyrock45 »

Has anyone ever heard of this happening. When ever I break, my scooter makes a bell noise and the electric start kicks on. I don't have to be riding for it to happen. I can turn my keys and just hit my break, and it will start up. It's on both the front and back break. Any time I pull the breaks. They make the same bell or "ding" noise as well. Not sure what to do. I might have to take it to the scooter shop in town. Has anyone had a problem like this?

The only thing that comes to mind is a short somewhere between the brake light and the something in the starter circuit.
"Stella" is Latin for "use threadlocker on all fasteners"

From the sound of it, your start switch is shorted.
