Missing CVT Sponge!

Post by HanShan »

Doing some in depth checks on my 2013 Blur. Took off the CVT cover and there was no sponge like it shows in the manual.

So how much did this screw up my bike?

Well, I got in touch with someone who knows and they said the CVT sponge is not really necessary.

Phew.

Thats correct, the foam isn't necessary, but if it makes you feel better, you can always stuff a small piece of open-cell foam in there. It'll at least prevent small critters from crawling into your transmission and making a home there.:)
Some people can break a crowbar in a sandbox.
