disc brake lml 125 4speed 2t

Post by milly »

Slight judder when braking from front felt through bar's
Other than checking pads and disc run out can anyone give me any other pointers that may be common to this model.
There is no feel of vibration through the brake lever.
I bought it with a slight dent and scrapes on mudguard and on top of legshield where the handlebars have turned and touched it. I remember reading somewhere that donates something but can't remember what.
Bike steers in a straight line with no hands on the bars.
Any help much appreciated.

Check that the forks are tight in the steering tube. Roll forward slowly and hit the front brake. See if the forks shift at all, and tighten up the bearings if you feel any play front to back.

Second potential culprit, the brake rotor is held to the hub by hex key bolts, and they can sometimes loosen up. Check each one to make sure this hasn't happened.
