Idle Too High

Post by jonyskids »

Hello,

I have a Buddy 50cc that sat in storage for a couple years. Yes, I poorly left fuel in the tank. We took the carb apart and cleaned it out and got her running again. She works well with a new battery but idles really fast. Goes about 20 mp with no throttle. The knob that adjusts idle is tightened all the way down.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Jon

Something is loose, probably the intake from Carb to engine, or something. It is sucking in extra air.

Tightened all the way down, you say? That's your problem. Turn it out. The tighter you turn that, the higher your idle will be.
