How to select a tire

Post by Mike1nw »

So I looked on various sites for 3.5 x 10 tires.
There are many different tread patterns!

Any thoughts?

I am running Continental Zippy 1s and really like them. My son in CA runs Pirelli SL 26s on his 70cc Zuma and says they perform great. He is a hard rider has a 1000cc Monster, a GSXR 600 and races a Honda CRF 50 in M1GP.
I plan on switching to the Pirelli next set
That said you will get as many recommendations as there are responses
You won’t be disappointed with any of the major brands discussed so far.
It is always a trade off between wear and performance. I am always to pay the penalty of running softer stickier tires.

We use Continental Zippy 1s on our Buddy as well. A good scooter tire.

If you ride on a lot of concrete roads, tread really matters. Don't pick a tire with a straight center groove. Tires with that straight center groove really try to follow the seams in the concrete, making you scoot wander. My 2 cents.
