Post by k1dude »

I just came across this. Dammt! Why don't we get the cool stuff here in the US? I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

I was well aware of it obviously. This was an actual on-road review. Even better, a video review!

Great to see more details on that 750 scoot. It will be beyond my budget, but other manufacturers will likely follow suit. It's cool to see a maxi scooter that looks lean and agile.

But will we ever get them in the US? I doubt it.

I guess we will have to settle for the NC650/750x.
The CB500x is not available with DCT.

Why? Technically, it's a scooter.

The reason there's no pegs is they said it gives you the flexibility to move your feet and weight forward or backward to effect handling. Evidently that's a huge improvement over traditional bikes with pegs.

It also allows riders of different statures to easily find a comfortable stance and sitting position.

would probably be fine for seated riding on light fire roads which looks like that's about the terrain limit of this but i wouldn't want to stand on wet floorboards...and those tires seem like they are geared for dirt/mud riding...either way i'd be interested in taking a test ride to check it out if it ever makes it to the US

I don't think Honda intends for people to actually take one of these off road or if they do, only groomed fire roads. I think the styling is just for the looks which to my eyes is just fine. Most people who buy "adventure" bikes never take them off road anyway. Regardless, if Honda ever brought these into the US and if they priced them a little lower, I'd buy one.
