Please help with diagnostic

Post by Madonie »

Hi, my Fly 150 2007 just turned 3K miles and runs perfectly until sometimes it behaves like there are no gas, will stop running and then I will be able to restart it and it will not die if I keep the gas on... Even at stop signs... Will fill more gas the next day, and will not have the problem again, despite being half full at first. Do you have an idea if it's due to a faulty spark plug or something else? Thanks in advance!

Just kidding.
If you are having fuel starvation issues, it could be a fuel filter that's clogging up. Is yours carbureted, or fuel injected? If the former, you may be due for a carb clean. If the latter, your fuel pump may be starting to give out, and only providing proper fuel pressure with a nearly full tank.
