New addition to the fleet - Buddy 170i

Post by scootdad »

I had finally been talked into selling the Yamahas (our daughters are both married now and living in adjacent states, so not much group riding happening anymore). I was intent on buying a new 170i, and had looked through Craigslist and FB Marketplace for one, but found nothing that interested me. For some reason, I thought today that I should look on Offerup just to see what's there and, BAM! Not 35 miles away was a pre-loved 170i, in British racing green, with only 690 miles. The price was pretty fair, $1,700.

Seller was the 2nd owner, she's had recent brain surgery and another one coming, so no riding in her future. She was happy to know it was going to a good home where it would be ridden and loved. She threw in 2 nice Corazzo jackets and a couple of helmets as well.

It had lived outside the past year or two so needs some TLC, but it cleaned up nicely and rides even more nicely. I'll start tinkering, deadlight adapters, brake lamp modulator, Gen-u-bin, top case, etc. but it is ready to ride today.

Looking forward to many miles of fun with this one.

Bob

Sweet! Great price and I really like that color. Happy trails to you.
