Saddlebags for Buddy's

Post by fried okra »

I've got a new Buddy 125 and would like to add some sort of soft saddle bags for grocery runs and so forth.

I've got three saddle bag sets from previous motorcycles but none seem to work very well with the seat latch and accessory rack on the Buddy.

Has anyone found something that works well for saddlebags for the Buddy scoots?

Maybe these? Appear to be a combination of leather and cordura.

I used bicycle panniers on my buddy connected with some straps. It worked OK.

Small saddle bags really don't hold very much. Does your Buddy have front and rear racks? I've found that a roll bag on the front rack, a grocery bag on a bag hook behind/below the handle bars, and a plastic milk crate on the rear rack provide the most useful grocery getter capabilities. That also does a better job of distributing the weight.

Thanks group for good input.

I've already got a set of saddlebags from my motorcycle days that look like the Vikingbags mentioned. The ones I've got have the cross strap but they block the access to the under seat compartment and the straps aren't quite long enough.

The Vikings bags are a better direct fit maybe?? Would be nice if they were!

I've got a Genuine rear rack on the Buddy now with a top case that came off a previous Aprilia Scarabeo 150. That has helped a lot.

I'll look into the front rack too. It's pretty useful I guess?
