Dead lights conversion question

Post by yel-mel »

I want to convert my 2019 Buddy 50 dead lights to white led running lights. I asked ScootersWest if they had a kit. They told me the 50 was not strong enough to to support them and would drain the battery. I'm assuming it might be OK with LEDs.
There is so much info on this topic I can't seem to get the clear picture of how I can easily do this on my 50 and have it work. A pre-made harness would be nice, but I ok with doing wiring. Has anyone done thus recently?
Thanks in advance 😃

These Buddies are lovely little machines. Good looking, good design, good value, great fun, great parts availability, easy to work on. I have a Buddy 50, a Vespa 150, and a Scarabeo 500, all older models (‘08-‘09) and the Buddy more than holds its own in usability compared to those fancier scooters.

Yea sorry I wasn't more specific, I did the turn signals AND the deadlights just the other day, pretty easy and plug and play thanks to advice on here.
