Jay Leno rides a Buddy

Post by TTaM »

Spotted in this photo from Jay Leno's garage. I wonder if he lurks on this board

I would very much rather have the McLaren that he's sitting in...

I’ve met Jay several times up at the Rock Store over the years and once at the Empress Hotel in Victoria BC when he and Mavis were at high tea. I can guarantee that while he might own a Buddy, he doesn’t ride it anywhere but around his shop/museum complex if at all. I can also guarantee that while he doesn’t know my name, he remembers my bike and car since he called me Mr. Laverda the second time we met and Mr. Westfield when he and his wife walked by our table at high tea. He is an all around good guy and a real Motörhead. After hearing him on TV for so many years it’s strange to meet him and hear him drop the f-word in conversation!

Looks like a Buddy Blackjack 150 from the blurry badge on the front. I would really like one of these if I could find a good used one for the price.

There's also a Vespa in the background, next to the Buddy.

It's mine! I bought it from my youngest son so he could buy an NIU electric. At 87 y.o., it's too heavy for me to ride. I'll be happy to do an even trade for a mint '84 NN50 blue Gyro to round out my Gyro collection!

Wheeling and dealing Blackjacks and Gyros at 87 - skipper20 is the biggest badass on two, or three, wheels. Awesome.
