new basket

Post by maribell »

I bought a white basket today and attached it to "Bella". I am torn between thinking it looks goofy as compared to the front. Feel free to voice your opinion.

Not so goofy as "unbalanced" since their diffrnet colors. Paint one of them the same color as the other. OR paint both of them the color of your choice.

I think both of them painted white would look great.

yeah. and i think it will be significantly easier if i paint the front one. plus the paint will stay longer as it doesn't get as much use.

Hey thanks for that tip. I don't know if that's been mentioned here before and I kept forgetting to mention it. The Container Store I last visited had wire baskets like that in two different spots in the store in different shapes and sizes. Not cheap, but they looked well made.

maribell, your scooter looks very nice with the baskets the same color! :D Have you figured out a way to keep things from blowing out of the basket while you're riding? I always worry about that because I've had stuff blow out of a milk crate before. I ended up putting bungee cords across the top the the basket, a couple of them side-by-side to keep that from happening again.

BUMP!

I just weave a bungee cord through the squares at the top. OR I just wedge it in there...

I originally went there for a less expensive milk crate... all they had were red and yellow ones...
