Input on Buddy 50 build

Post by schmavies »

Hey I want to hotrod the Buddy 50 to go 50-60 MPH. I have a stock white buddy 50.

Parts List:

YASUNI R EXHAUST HORIZONTAL MINARELLI '02-'11 ZUMA BUGEYE
MALOSSI 19MM DELLORTO CARB KIT FOR STOCK MANIFOLD
STAGE6 CYLINDER KIT "STREETRACE" 70CC CAST IRON
Malossi Multivar Variator for Genuine Buddy, Roughhouse 50
Valvoline Multi-Vehicle Moly-Fortified Gray Grease 14.1 OZ Cartridge
Dr. Pulley 16x13 Sliding Roller Weights 6.5 Gram
Honda Hondabond 4 Liquid Gasket 08717-1194

Is this parts list optimized or can I do better on things like the variator, roller weights, carb etc? The Yasuni exhaust will be derestricted. Will also take the snorkel off the airbox. After these mods, should I mix oil into the gas tank? Can I go without it? What's your recommendation for main and pilot jets? Thanks in advance.

I would choose the polini hi speed variator ( more top than malossi)
Contra spring test, clutch spring test ( both slightly harder),roller or slider test (does not mean 6 would be optimal for speed)
As for the restrictor in the air box it create a venturi effect so i wouldnt take it off, will do a lot more noise
And after all that your gonna have to set up your carb....pilot,needle,main jet.
