Finally finished my SEAT!

Post by KRUSTYburger »

My scoots been out of commission for about a week while I was waiting
for my new tag and also my oil filter... It was pretty convenient since it
was rainy all week and I got a chance to finish my seat cover!

It is a corduroy upholstery fabric which I chose cuz I liked the color & texture...
HOWEVER, it was a major pain in the butt... If you ever decide to make one,
I think a semi-stretchy fabric will be MUCH easier. I'll be sure to use that next time
(if there is a next time)...

That is amazing! Is this a cover? Or does it really replace the actual seat material?

Thanks for all the nice comments, guys!!! It is just a cover that goes on top of the seat. It has elastic loops around the inside with an elastic strap to pull it tight... I had to take it off right after I took those pics tho cuz it is very drizzly. Unfortunately it's not waterproof, but at least it's washable!

Krusty,
it looks great !
Can you spray some Scotchgard or something to make it water proof?
Beer is the answer . . . what was the question?

Damn, your talents never cease, do they? This may be one of the best DIY seat covers I've seen. The piping and colors look sharp! Getting the wale in the corduroy in straight must be a real pain, but worth it.

Plus, unlike vinyl, a seat cover you won't slide around on!
