I don't really fit in to any of those poll choices either.....
I am 45, in a LTR, have 4 Boston Terriers, 2 parrots, one cat, and I am still a student (working on my PHd).
Great to see that there are others my age (and some older) riding scoot.

53. We were empty nesters until this last week when we had 3 collage kids move back in with us. Another coming back after graduation in July. Ok, so our food bill is going up again...

36 year old art professor - 3 kids and a wife - after her being sick of me reminiscing about my "good ole' single days" scootering around Rome, she came home one day with a Buddy brochure and committed to buying me an "Italia" when we move back to CA next month... the life!

No tale. Richard Nixon grew up in a Sear's house and it's perfectly preserved at his library in Yorba Linda. There are thousands of them all over the country, look in the basement for numbered joists. Every part was numbered for assembly.

Yup, my last house was a Sears house...complete with stamped directions on the visible beams in the basement.

Ya, the poll definitely needs more options. I'm not even close to any of them.

I am married. I have a husband. No kids. 2 homes with mortgages. 2 scooters (paid for) & 1 car (paid for).

I am 38 and bought my scooter when I was 36... my first one for me was also the first Buddy in Atlanta.

46 years old but still young enough tastes that my teenagers steal my music. I lived with my grandparents in the summers when I was young and my pappy had a cushman scooter and a Honda SL 70. I started riding those and never forgot how much fun they were.
I didn't get back on 2 wheels again til I was 36 when I was given a Goldwing by a friend. I was living in Kansas City then and it was NOT fun commuting50miles on big city interstates so I wound up giving it to another friend. Moved to Tucson, got my scoot and I'm not having a blast.

i checked 'out of school, but not married', but to clarify in case that makes me sounds 20-something, i turned 40 in vegas this year. i figure the birthday stayed there, right? so nice it will be to be eternally 39.

Poll needs way more options. I voted still in school. But only because I'm still taking grad classes occasionally and will be taking the Safe Rider Course in a couple weeks.

I also HAD the wife and got rid of her.

No kids ever.

Have had houses and now have another.

Own my own business.

Have a girlfriend.

etc. etc. etc.

58 here or is it 59....crap the memory goes first
no kids, no grandkids, no husband, no mortgage
1 cat, 1 dog, 1 partner, 1 scoot

Used to race enduro's in my "young days" on a 250 Bultaco. Had a ball then and figured a scoot was the closest thing to recapturing my youth that I could find! :sigh:

I'm each of these to some degree:

-I got the wife, I got the kids, I got the mortgage
-Kids are gone, just me and the missus having fun!
-The grandkids like it when I tell war stories

49 Married with a 7 yr old, my 25 & 22 year old kids are on their own, and I'm a Granddad. The accountability is good for me and parenthood keeps me young.

Paying rent for an apartment for about 50 more weeks,
Scootin- indefinitely.

I can't for the life of me figure out what social status has to do with age.
A friend of mine has 2 kids now, married when she was 16, don't know if she has a house or is still renting, and has her associate's. I think she's 23 now.

I'm not giving my stats. I don't want no stinking white fence.

Currently 46, but I act like a kid. Mario Cart, climb on the playground equipment, that kind of stuff. Wife, two daughters (6 and 9), 1 dog, 1 cat, 2 fish tanks, 1 scooter. The good thing about having kids when your are 40 is that it gives you a great excuse for climbing on the jungle gym stuff at McDonalds playland. ''

63, married, 1 son (15) and 1 daughter(13), 2 cats (Fatback and Mr. Grumpy), 2 dogs, Nelly (mutt) and Twigs (rescue greyhound) at home. Oldest daughter (36) and 1 grand daughter (3) in Oklahoma. Lovely wife is a mere child of 54.

As far as the poll, most of the categories fit. What to do??

I worked in the auto department at Sears when I was 16. When closing at night it was my job ( :D ) to ride the scooters (Allstates) and the Scrambler motorcycle into the garage. Of course, I had to ride them around the parking lot a while first. Loved the blue Allstate with the white walls.

In July 2010 I will be 40. I have the hardest time with telling people I will be 40 minus 1 this summer. I can handle 40...just not the almost 40. How wierd is that?

That said, we have ten furkids, a featherkid and a resident frog. No human children. Just us and the non-speaking.

We LOVE our two wheels. Both of them.
Yes, it's fast. No, you can't ride it.
