cream buddy with red rims

Post by r0sa »

a few weeks ago, my bf volunteered to paint my rims red, and i was meaning to post up a pic but ive been so busy with packing and moving back home from college

a can of rusto-leum(sp?) primer and red paint did the job! prepping the wheel and taping it off was a pain, but i got the help of my wonderful roomates and thanks to my wonderful bf, my scooters pretty sick! [besides the fact that its scraped up from an accident]

i've been wanting to paint my rims too, but i'm scared to take off my wheels. is it difficult to take them off and put them back on again correctly?

your buddy looks great, by the way!

from observing my bf, the front wheel is easier to take off, but the back wheel, kinda difficult, you need to take the exhaust off and the bolts on the back are screwed on pretty tight, u should probably ask one of your guy friends to help u unscrew them, and just be careful and label the screws and parts off so you'll know where it goes!

The cream color buddy has special look to it that photos don't capture. Kinda sparkly in the paint.

The red rims add that extra touch the Buddy needs.

You can buy whitewall paint - rangerpaints.com has some for 18 dollars shipped (will paint both tires a few times)

My scooterworks catalog has whitewall stickers for tires, they're just decals which slap on, 15-20 dollars depending on what size.

I heard those are the sucks - the don't stick on very well and/or peel off quickly.

It can't be hard to white wall my own...right?
