wow- really cool. I want a topcase! I'm still deciding which accessory to purchase first- rear rack, or windshield!

What is the red cable going from the disc brake to the throttle area? Some kind of alarm? I've seen a few of these in pics and I'm currently trying to figure out my security plan!

jmazza,
I think that is a "reminder" cable for a disc lock. So you don't forget to unlock it before you take off.

Very nice case, indeed !
Beer is the answer . . . what was the question?

I saw a guy forget and try to ride a bike off with a disk lock attached. When the lock hit, the front end compressed hard then pitched him sideways into the bike that was parked next to him. That bike fell over into the bike next to it. This was on Cannery Row in Monterey on MotoGP weekend, so the bikes were parked really close together. The poor guy was still standing there in shock when the other bike owners showed up and started making a fuss. You had to feel for the guy. He probably just bought the lock that weekend and wasn't accustomed to using it. One of those reminder loops would have prevented the whole mess.

Ahhhhhh... that makes sense! Man, that would be pretty bad to ride off with a disc lock on!!

Thanks for the answers!

Top Case

Post by pamalama »

Great topcase, but what case is that? I see the Genuine on the back, but it has a back pad and the reflectors all across the back, looks bigger than the ones for the buddy. I haven't ordered mine yet and I like this a whole lot better than the one I was gonna order.

Where did you get that topbox?!

Post by Tocsik »

OK, where did you get that box? The color is perfect and I sure hope they have one that matches the Pamplona. I got an email from someone at Genuine stating that they did not carry color matching top boxes for the International series.

Genuine does carry matching top cases for all colors including the pamplona, we have one in our garage. Go to your dealer and they can order one, unless they already have it there.
