Help me re-install the front brake caliper on a BlackCat

Post by L.B. »

Hi Kids,
I did a search but couldent find what I need.

Can someone show me the position the spring clips have to be in to re-install the Brake Caliper on the Black Cat.

Also does anyone know the Torque Specs on the front hub nut?

The story go's like this someone took off the front wheel of my Black Cat and gave me the parts in a Zip Lock bag. I cant figure out the position of the clips.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Cheers,
L.B.

I wish that Genuine would offer service and parts manuals to the puplic. It would certainly make maintenance and repair work a hell of a lot easier for everybody.
There are so few dealers in the USA. The ones that I spoke with are not very familiar with Genuine products, because of how relatively unpopular these scooters are.
Providing these publications for sale would be a great public relations service in my opinion.

if anything, maybe you could take a look at one at a dealer or something.

I looks like when you take that caliper off all the stuff kinda falls out.
Mostly thats normal. I guess I have to play with the thing for a while to figure out how the clips go back in.

I am sure they are using the same brakeing caliper on a different model maybe a Buddy 50 cc or something.

Maybe the Buddy peeps dont come to the black cat and rattler page.
