Yep, it's just different shades of hot. I just ordered a silver mesh jacket- it's gotta be cooler than the black textile one I have now!jmazza wrote:jfrost2: You've never been to Florida, have you.

There's nothing you can do about the heat in many places of the country at this time of the year. Except maybe soaking yourself with the hose before riding. Mesh jacket, tank top, t-shirt, naked. It's all freakin' HOT.

For my first ride this past Thursday, it was 54 and misty and chilly.
Yesterday was no better and all I did was caress the Buddy in the basement and remove her stickers. I also went online and ordered a bunch of bullet-hole stickers, some flying spaghetti monster decals and some no smoking signs.
Then I started her up, beeped the horn, futzed with figuring out how to lock her if the 40-degree rain ever stopped and I got to ride her again.
Worried that the 33 miles on the odometer were all that she'd ever have and tried to console myself.
So stop whining about the heat. At least you've got a buddy between your legs...I mean a Buddy between your legs.

It's been so rainy and/or windy here the last two weeks.
It's rained so hard recently that my basement (and of course it would have to be a finished basement where I'm sitting now) got flooded and I lost the carpet, a computer, and various other things. All things considered, it could have been muccchh worse, so I'm not going to complain too much!
Umm, so anyhow, to stop the digression and actually get to a scooterin' comment!
Yesterday, since I managed to get the ol Moto license, I just hadda take a trip around the burbs! It was a bit windy (20-25 mph), but I figure that the experience will only make me a better rider in the long run!
I'm extremely excited because the forecast this week is only 20% chance of rain for most of the week and I'll be driving to work on Absinthe tomorrow (my scooter, not the drink)!
Anyhow, sorry for the long post, everyone have a wonderful week!
