I'm wearing my helmet at my desk. Seriously.

I'm wearing my helmet at my desk. Seriously.
So, I'm told this is a good way to break in new helmets -- wearing them.
And I have a new helmet.
And I'm very happy.
(Fortunately, none of my co-workers have walked by to make fun of me yet.)
So, I'm stoked, because this is the end of a long saga: I'd ordered a Pure Orange Shoei TZR at the start of August. And then waited. And waited. And waited...
Apparently, they're on national back-order in that color.
But the place I ordered from ended up making me an offer I couldn't refuse on a much nicer helmet. So I ended up with an X11 instead. And right now, I love the thing.
I wound up getting one with graphics on it (something that I was pretty sure I'd never do), but I find these to be relatively entertaining -- here's hoping I feel the same way in a few years.
Anyway, if you see someone on a Buddy sporting a Shakey replica helmet, it's me.

Huh? What just happened?

Is your Buddy Pink too?dorothyblue wrote:I really, really wanted to wear my new helmet at my desk after I bought it... But I restrained myself, and just put it on my desk and gazed at it every once in awhile. Even that got my coworkers going!

Ha! Thanks...
Looks like I'm not the only marginally sane one.
Just took my first few rides in it yesterday, and damn. I mean damn.
I cannot believe how far superior in EVERY way this is to my previous helmet (an Xpeed Aegis -- which is definitely a nice helmet for the price, but I bought it for car racing, and it's not super comfortable on long rides).
Loud graphics and all, I'm stoked.

Of course. And so is my pink Coretech jacket. Could I be going overboard?dahuffy wrote:Is your Buddy Pink too?dorothyblue wrote:I really, really wanted to wear my new helmet at my desk after I bought it... It is comforting, in bizarre sort of way, to know I'm not the only one.AxeYrCat wrote:Ha! Thanks...

Same here -- I was afraid to get a ff because I might feel claustrophobic, but this one is so comfortable. I way prefer it to my shorty, which I may never wear again. I was convinced to try it because of all the helmet discussion on this forum. Thanks guys for talking me into better protection.AxeYrCat wrote:
