Good for you! Everybody has trouble with those figure 8's. Be sure to practice 'em on your own in a big parking lot. They're really useful when you need to make a tight u-turn in traffic.

Congratulations. I just passed today too! They had me on a Dual-Purpose bike because I'm tall, and I had a LOT of trouble with the figure 8. After I got home I went to a parking lot and practiced with my scooter and was able to do much better.

I'm excited to go to the DMV tomorrow too.

:D Congratulations on passing the course :D . I passed mine on Sunday as well. The instructors were very good. It was the first time I had ever even been on a motorcycle. Anyways I learned a lot. And the whole class was so nice. Now if I can just remember that on the buddy it’s not a clutch, I’ll be doing great. 8)

They won't let you take the class on your Buddy? Seems kinda strange to me. Especially when you go to the BMV on your Buddy and take the test on it.

yeah, I had to use a motorcycle as well.

But congratulations to all on passing your test! It's time and effort well spent.

DrDiff, You don't have to take any tests at the DMV if you pass the MSF Basic Rider Course (at least in Colorado). I just showed them my MSF card, paid $2 for the motorcycle endorsement, and I was done.

I decided to take the course with the motorcycle even though they will let you use a scooter. Some of the course is specific to using a motorcycle. I think a motorcycle is harder than a scooter to operate, yet most of the knowledge transfers to scooter riding. You get more bang for your buck by learning on the motorcycle.

These MSF classes are popular, I just looked into taking one and there is like a two month wait list at every place that teaches it.

Congrats to everyone.     I also passed on Sunday with MAJensen. He is a much better rider than he will admit to. We had excellent instructors and it was a lot of fun. Congrats again to all that took the course and passed.
