Well, my factory oil got low enough to siphon out the remains (without allowing air into the hose). I then dumped in the Motul 710.
I put 50 miles on it since. Now NO more visible smoke when the engine is cold or any other time for that matter . I highly recommend using the this stuff.

Being a perfectionist, I did just to get a clean start. You don't have to.
If you do, be sure not to allow any air into the hole at the bottom of the tank. You don't want air in your line .
Naturally, there was still some residual stock oil remaining in the line. That's why I rode it for a long while before considering the results.
