Sometimes it's so fun to ride

Post by MPA »

. . . . . but today I was ready to set it on fire. I had the dreaded vapor lock issue on my way into work - had to stop 5 or 6 times to open the gas cap, even when it was below the neck and I had more then 10 miles on the tank. Of course this was on the main stratch of my ride through some farm land where there's not much room to pull off. I filled it up last night to about the same level I always do, and the first half of my 12 mile ride into work I had no problems. I guess it's time to drill the cap or remove the emission junk.

To top it all off, the strap on my Prima pipe snapped today as well.

Oh well - just passed 900 miles on it, hopefully I can bail early and work from home for the afternoon to make me feel better :D

i drilled mine in the rubber ring gasket in the cap...just don't put a drill bit through the retainer spring or else you'll probably snap it. With no emissions stuff I can fill mine up in the neck area without any problems.
