OK. Today I caught myself finding an excuse to ride the Buddy. I rode a total of about 15 miles just to get a $0.59 part for my bicycle. I was just wondering if other buddy owners are experiencing the same thing. I guess that I shouldn't call it wasting gas because I just have a blast. I love this scoot. Very Happy

Yeah totally... i went for a 60 mile joy ride last night... for nothing... just to ride. I live 1.5 miles from where I work, but I have put on 1600 miles in the last 8 weeks. Very Happy

Yeah all the gas saving during the week is nullified by the rides on the weekend, too many fun mountain roads around here.

Relieving the stress makes you a better person. Being a better person makes you a better employee. Being a better employee makes you more money.

Well, maybe.

Ride anyway. You're not wasting gas. You're using it in a therapeutic fashion. Much better than pre scooter days.

I leave Scootle running all the time because it's good for the environment.

At least it's better than leaving my car running to charge my phone.

I was riding this evening to relieve stress too except I think I was too stressed to begin with...Very Happy

It did little to relive my stress other than to make me wish for more daylight.

If I'm feeling happy I'll purposely cause stress so I can go riding to relieve it. Laughing . And to think, before the Buddy I'd do the same thing just so I could have an excuss to beat the dog. Twisted Evil

DJE

JK, I don't have a dog.

/ Dennis had to add the book ends. Hey just a thought, it is never a waste of gas when the returns are worth more than $4.30. Enjoy the journey and ride safe. Oh, this is their couch, we had to get another just for usjavascript:emoticon('Very Happy')

Before, it was like pulling teeth for my wife to get me off my butt to go get milk or bananas at the store. Now I ask her all the time if we're out of anything. ANYTHING to give me an excuse to get on my scooter and go run an errand! Huh? We already have sugar? Oh well, now we have even more. Sometimes I think she makes stuff up that we need just to give me an excuse. Rolling Eyes

No kidding. I spend a good share of my spare time thinking up excuses to go scooting. The rest I spend on the scoot. That is the fallacy with the idea of saving gas by owning a scoot. We have two and go for joy rides as often as possible.

Now, see? I have to discount the nullifying the gas savings because no matter how much you ride, at $4 a gallon, and 90 MPG, you're STILL saving money.

As for me, OH & I rode around Saturday night, OH on the cruiser teaching me how to ride with others...got a thumbs up from a guy in a ginormous Suburban. Then we went for donuts yesterday morning, scooter and cruiser. I enjoyed the practice. And while OH walks the dogs, I scoot along and practice my right turns. Not quite got the hang of it. No errand running yet. But then, I don't have my topcase yet, either.

Right on.
When I have to run to a store I always go to one across town instead of the one at the corner of my street. Embarassed

Yep, did that trick to. I went for gas , saw the price and swore I could get it cheaper at THE OTHER GAS STATION. I ended up getting gas like three stations later. I never thought I would have fun looking for a gas station. Oh by the way I saved $.04 a gallon/tank (in our case) . I did have a good time though. Very Happy

My wife says I'm like a teenager who just got his driver's license.

We're out of milk? I'll scoot to the store and get a gallon.
There are only 3 cough drops left? I'd better go get some, just in case.
Say, didn't you mention you'd really like to see "27 Dresses"? You want me to run to the video store?
You know, if I take the utility bill to the drop-off now, it will get there on time for sure, and we'll save a stamp!

Very Happy
