If you haven't already, you all definitely need to get a Monster Burrito from Freebirds! :D Thanks for leading the way Mad. We definitely have to have a scooters and movies night (I guess we need to start coming up with a list ...lol) I'm definitely down for seeing 30 Days of Night again. Have you been to the Alamo Drafthouse yet?

PS
Start saving for the canoe. You never know when zombies will attack ....HAHAHAHAHA (do you think they can climb trees?)

trees! i hadn't thought about climbing trees! but then you'll just get surrounded. yeah, i think i'll keep betting on the canoe. just hafta figure out how to best bungee cord it to the buddy. hm.

and yes, alamo drafthouse is the best. you have to have to have to check out weird wednesdays and terror thursdays. except they play at midnight and old folks like me tend to nod off about 10 minutes after the movie's started.

i told fher about scooter movie night. he's down. :) just say when!

last night i came up with another suggestion for terror movie night. HOUSE! eeeeee!!

when i was a very little kid my family took a road trip with some friends of my parents in one of those old school vans that had the tv/vcr console. when the grown ups thought all the smallest kids were already asleep, they let the big kids watch a scary movie called House. i was faking, and watched the whole thing and was terribly freaked out. i don't remember much of it now, except for a few scenes that still freak me out to think of. let's watch House!!

If you want to meet up let us know. It would be perfect since it is going to be Friday the 13th after all... Bwahahaha

A break from work sounds paramount... I'll see if the misses is interested in a movie night, although she'll probably remind me that we had something planned and then I'll all-of-a-sudden remember my obligation! I need to finally meet up with you cats so I can feel like I'm part of the living, breathing scooterist organism, AND to show you the new paint job. 8)

Hah, I need to make amends with the 21st century first and get a digital camera. I'm borrowing a camera for my scooter expedition to visit the parents on Sunday so I'll take tons of photos and post the results. I hope you like looking at pictures of scooters in Central Texas!

If we have a national Buddypalooza (or whatever), I expect ALL of you Austinites to come. With your scooters! Rent a flatbed truck—that's what the SF Scooter Girls did for High Rollers in Vegas this year.

Sounds cool!

As far as the ride is concerned, things got a bit mixed up and people kind of wound up breaking apart because of the speed limits of the roads we were on. It started off as 20 people and ended with 5. There is another one this Sunday, but I won't be able to make it. Y'all should definitely go. Corsair, is your Bud back up and running?

Not even almost! This is costing me sooo much money in car rental fees and crazy car gas prices (I'm just not used to paying that much). Genuine is seriously starting to upset me with the whole warranty process and them not wanting to send out an engine. It seems like since scooters got crazy popular customer service is really starting to go down :( I really hope things are made right SOON. With these weeks of renting a car I could have a nice down payment for something new.

Hey all I'm movin' back to Austin at the end of August! Good to see such great scene. Unfortunately the scoot I ordered here wont be here before I move back (I'm currently in SoCal. I've called the two Genuine dealers in the area, Urban and The M/C shop in SA and everyone is sold out of Buddy's. I'd take a Lambretta Uno 150 but they are out till mid Oct. The M/C shop says he may be getting some Buddy's in a week but I won't be there until Sept 1. I can't believe how fast these things are selling!!!
