More Agressive Tires for the 110?

Post by kev187 »

Hello All

New to the Forum here. I have been giving the Rattler 110 a look. I currently have a Vespa P200e, a Honda Ruckus, & a Buell Ulysses. I had a Stella before the Vesap. So well informed scooterist here.. but...

I love my Ruck, the girlfriend & I take ours off road anychance we get (I grew up on dirtbikes, the ruck is a blast in the dirt) The Ruck has some nice deep tread tires on the 10" wheels.

It looks like the same tire as the Ruck can be placed on the back of the Rattler 110, but is there a decent similar tread for the 12" front wheel for a good match. I woudl indeed run the rattler down some trails, but the street tires dont look to cut it in the lose stuff?

Thanks for the input in advance!

Are the tires on the roughhouse the same size as the rat. They look a bit more aggressive.

The Tires on the Rough house are the same at the Ruckus, 10" front & back. The Rattler has a more narrow 12" tire on the front.

The rear wheel on the Rattler is also a 12", no?

A former poster, Hugo, got some tires with a lower land to sea ratio. Search for Hugo and tires and you'll find his thread on it.

You can get Michelin Reggaes in Rattler friendly sizes. I've heard good things about them.

Ah, sorry. I had checked the #s online for the rattler and those tires (was considering doing the same before I bought a roughhouse instead) and just assumed that since the numbers matched up, the tires would be the correct sizes. Good luck anyway!

By the way, for what it's worth, the tires on my roughhouse are made by Cheng Shin. Perhaps they have a 12" knobby?

That is exactly what I am looking for, any chance we can get a shot of the front wheel on that bike?

Is that a rattler, it looks like the roughhouse color, but I see the 12" front wheel :-)

The Rucks are cool, they take a beating & run like a champ, but they cruise at 35mph & hit an absolute peak speed of 42mph. I have a variator & belt upgrade with proper weights, she just aint that fast, but fun off road! I like the motor in the rattler 110, love the 2-stokes!

Before Hugo sold his Rattler he changed over to RoughHouse plastics and the Duro tires. I think he sold it to someone named Josh? Josh is firing up a site www.genuinerattler.com/forums just for us Rattler (and 'House and Cat) people in the world. You'll probably see a lot of similar members here in MB and at yahoo group genuinerattler. So to answer your question... yes it is a Green Rattler110.

Now how do you find a place that sells them. I did a quick google and nothing was obvious.
